You Must Visit These Places In Denmark

In our new Globe Trotter series, Viral Travel reviews all the best places to see, eat, and stay at, in every country of the world!

This week we visit: Denmark

Whenever they do lists of the happiest nations in the world, the Danes always rank in the top few, often leading the pack. And really, once you visit this relatively small country just north of Germany, you realize why this is the case very quickly. It is a country made for people and it works. It is also a beautiful place with plenty to see. Here are a few places that you simply must not miss when traveling to Denmark.

The first of these is Copenhagen, the country’s capital and its biggest city. It is a spectacular place with mostly neoclassical architecture, incredible museums and galleries, palaces that will take your breath away which have a certain way of life that is so thoroughly human.

Bornholm is a Danish island which is quite popular both with Danes and with tourists who come to visit Denmark. It boasts some of the most beautiful nature in this part of the world, including gorgeous sandy beaches and tiny towns that are just precious.

Denmark’s oldest town Ribe recently won the title of the most beautiful small town in the world and deservedly so. The town is just irresistible with its narrow streets, traditional architecture and that picturesque quality everyone loves. If you are looking for natural wonders, you should head out to Møn’s Klint, a set of cliffs that look so staggeringly beautiful accentuated by the blue ocean and skies surrounding it. It looks almost surreal whenever you go to see it.

Another place in Denmark you mustn’t miss is Aarhus. It is the second largest city in Denmark and home to the largest university in the country. It is considered to be one of the happiest cities in the world, much cheaper than Copenhagen but it lacks nothing.
