In our new Globe Trotter series, Viral Travel reviews all the best places to see, eat, and stay at, in every country of the world!

This week we visit: Panama

Panama is a country with a rich history and many peoples have lived in the area throughout the centuries. This has all resulted in a cuisine which is very diverse. It basically took only the best from many different culinary traditions. The restaurants we are talking about today will illustrate this better than any article could.

El Trapiche is one of the most popular restaurants in Panama City, boasting a rich menu of nothing but typical Panamanian cuisine made from the freshest local ingredients. Its patrons are both locals and tourists and their Panamanian Fiesta is an eight-dish menu you simply have to try.

Also in Panama City, this restaurant is one of the best of its kind in this part of the world, not just Panama City. If you happen to visit it on a Friday, get ready for some karaoke.

At a restaurant called Diablicos, you will not only be experiencing Panama through your palate, but your ears and eyes as well. Namely, at Diablicos, you will also be enjoying traditional folk dances from different parts of Panama to go with your mouth-watering food.

For seafood, you should head out to the Amador Causeway and Mi Ranchito, a restaurant that does seafood better than any other place in town. The restaurant boasts freshest seafood you will ever try, as well as a stunning view over the Bay of Panama.
