Tattoo magazine Rebel Ink has announced North America’s first tattoo-themed cruise.
It should kick off on April 16, 2015. The four-night trip will feature the best tattoo artists who will be available to work onboard. Also, there are exclusive events planned, such as burlesque shows and tattoo contests.
Dubbed the Ink or Swim Tattoo Cruise, the cruise is created in partnership with photographer Dan Howell, and will take place on Royal Caribbean’s Liberty of the Seas. It will make just one stop, in Cozumel, Mexico, to attend a private beach party.
Tattoo artists who have agreed to participate include Tatu Baby, who has appeared on Spike TV’s Ink Master; Sarah Miller, owner of the Wyld Child Tattoo Shop in Pittsburgh; and Mark Longenecker, owner of Endless Summer Tattoo in Cocoa Beach.
There is also Amy Nicoletto, who has appeared on LA Ink and Chris Torres, owner of the Red Legged Devils tattoo shop in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Fares for the sailing start at $970 per person, based on double occupancy and including a $100 credit for an on-board tattoo for the first and second passengers in a room.
