Nightlife in Luanda has gained importance over the past few years.
Rhythms such as Kizomba, Semba, Redita and Kuduro make the night and even those who don’t usually dance are unable to stay indifferent to these sounds. Most venues lie within the city limits or on Cabo Island. This is a great starting point.
Dine at sunset, overlooking the bay, and have yourself an enjoyable evening. The Cais de Quatro offers a variety of international cuisine, even sushi, while the restaurant O Manjara prepares great Portuguese food and entertains guests with live music. It is close to Chill Out, one of the coolest spots to dine.
One of the newest places is the Café del Mar, where you can enjoy great meals at fair prices and listen to relaxing music. In downtown Luanda you’ll find the Theatre Elinga, a cultural hotspot with a regular program of concerts and exhibitions.
The Jango Veleiro (Jango sailboat) in Cabo Island is the perfect place to end the evening, as it is open till sunlight.
