This week we visit: Dominican Republic
Most nations in the world have their own nightlife rituals and traditions that make them unique and the people in Dominican Republic are definitely no exception.
Today, we’ll let you in on how to have a fantastic night out Dominican-style.
The first thing to do is to get all dressed up. The Dominicans pay a lot of attention to how they dress and how other people are dressed. And going out on the town is definitely an occasion that calls for your spiffiest clothes.
Once you are all spruced up, it’s time to head out to a colmado (a mini market of sorts) or a liquor store. There, you will get cheap drinks and join the people who turn these stores into impromptu bars and watering holes. If you are satisfied with that kind of an experience, you can stay at such a place for the rest of the night.
However, you would be missing out on some crazy and wild bars and nightclubs that the Dominican Republic has to offer. The capital, Santo Domingo is especially famed for its clubs and bars, ranging from tiny, crowded and intense spots to giant clubs where foreign DJs come to spin.
The most important thing is to have as much fun as you can and forget about going home until the sun starts to rise.
