This week we visit: Grenada
Grenada does not really have a budding restaurant scene that some other Caribbean destinations do, but there are still quite a few places where you can get great food at more or less reasonable prices. The following restaurants are among the best eateries on Grenada’s islands.
When in Grenada, you will definitely be visiting the Great Anse Beach, one of the most spectacular beaches in the world. Around or at the beach, you will find quite a few eateries, such as La Boulangerie, which offers cheap eating – mostly pizzas, pastas, salads and decent breakfast. Umbrellas Beach Bar is firstly a bar, but they do offer great sandwiches made from the catch of the day. Their burgers are also more than fine.
When in St. George’s, you will have quite a few places to choose from, but BB’s Crabback is definitely a place you have to experience. It is a very informal restaurant which has amazing local specialties, such as crab backs. The Aquarium, located on Magazine beach, is another great place to eat, offering Caribbean and international cooking with some of the best fish you will taste in your life.
Laluna is a fancy Italian restaurant located at the Laluna hotel. Most dishes rely on local ingredients and seafood that was in the ocean just moments ago. The chef is always glad to mingle with the guests and they also offer a sizeable Italian wine list. The Beach is the last of our recommendations, located in the southwestern part of the island. They do a mix of Caribbean and Asian cuisine and it is mouth-watering good. They also do simple dishes such as burgers and pasta.
