In our new Globe Trotter series, Viral Travel reviews all the best places to see, eat, and stay at, in every country of the world!
This week we visit: Liechtenstein
Liechtenstein is not really a party destination. It is a quirky little country that likes to take things at its own pace, which does not really involve wild nights out. There are a few nightclubs in Liechtenstein, but for the most part, the nightlife is limited to bars. The good news is that the country is packed full of deliciously cool bars where you can get a drink and catch a live show.
The b’eat is a place that has become incredibly popular in a very short time it has been open. It features a restaurant and one of the most popular bars in the city and the country. The bar often hosts live shows but its classy atmosphere is enough for your regular night out.
If you find yourself in the town of Schaan, the place to be is definitely Black Pearl Bar. It is a cozy smoker’s bar where you can enjoy a quality cigar and an even better cocktail. Another place in Liechtenstein where you can get great cocktails is the Elchbar, but unlike most cocktail bars it is not a sleek, over-designed place, but a comfortable joint where you can really relax and enjoy your drinks.
The Gitzihöll bar is located about a mile above the sea level in the village of Malbun. The highest bar in the country is a popular spot with great music, DJs and (for Liechtenstein standards) wild partying, especially during the weekends.
