This week we visit: Germany
Although you can find entertainment everywhere in Germany, Berlin is the epicenter of German nightlife. A city that never sleeps, the country’s capital boasts an incredible scene – from romantic cafes, traditional bars and avant-garde venues to underground clubs, rock gigs and outdoor festivals.
Before you embark on this adventure, there are a few things you should know about Berlin nightlife, including when to go out, how much money you need and what to wear. For starters, while cafes and bars are full all day long, clubs don’t open before 11 and the real fun starts around 2 or 3 in the morning. There are basically no closing hours, so you can enjoy your night out until dawn.
When it comes to money, Berlin is not too expensive, so you don’t need a fortune to have fun. Though the cover charge depends on the club, it is usually between 5 and 12 Euro. Beers are around 3 Euro, and cocktails are somewhere between 4 and 6 Euro.
As far as wardrobe is concerned, there’s really no need to dress up – clubs usually don’t have a dress code and locals are pretty easy-going when it comes to clothes. Finally, the parts of Berlin that are well-known for their buzzing nightlife are Mitte, Prenzlauer Berg, Friedrichshain, and Kreuzberg.
