Switzerland is a small landlocked country that is worldwide famous for its magnificent mountain resorts, numerous lakes, castles, museums and remarkable architecture. Although there are many wonderful things to see in this Alpine state, we present the top 3 must-see locations in Switzerland.

Bern’s Old Town has rightfully earned itself an UNESCO World Heritage status and boasts several picturesque sites that you simply have to see. The most famous attractions include Zytglogge, an ancient clock tower with moving puppets and Munster, a splendid Gothic cathedral. In addition to seeing all the wonderful medieval attractions, Bern also has one of the longest covered shopping areas in Europe.

Lake Oeschinen is encompassed by three mountains and known for its rich greenery and unblemished nature. If you are looking for a serene spot to delight in nature’s beauty or want to swim, column and trek, this is the ideal place for you.

Located in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, Lucerne is one of the prettiest cities in the world. Most famous for its 14th century Chapel Bridge and Water Tower (the most photographed monument in the country), Lucerne is also renowned for its perfectly preserved medieval scaffolds. If you have enough time, make sure to visit the enchanting Lake Lucerne that is often compared to Norway’s wonderful fjords.
